Key Features & Benefits
Enables TNB to identify the root cause of the defect inside the GIS system.
Can avoid risk of flashover.
Optimize the maintenance and repair works for GIS system.
Able to be used for MV and HV GIS system.
Proven on actual cases happen at site.
Problem
Current Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) practice in TNB can only give information about the condition of the SF6 gas without determining type of defect. There is no commercially available product or software which is able to interpret the type of defect based on SF6 decomposition in Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) system. Therefore, this analytical tool is an effective and reliable method of advanced gas analysis technique to determine type of defect.
Potential Applications
MV and HV Gas Insulated Switchgear
